Software introduction

    Updated on September 11th, at 16:39: Dragon Quest is now available on iPhone and iPad everywhere, and it's also out on Android. You can get this classic NES role player on Google Play for a measily £1.99 / $2.99. Which is pretty incredible for Square Enix.
Chronology be damned, Square Enix has just released Dragon Quest I on the App Store in New Zealand. That means it should be out in the UK at midnight tonight.

The game is a polished up version of one of the original 8bit RPGs. It features dragons, it features castles, and it's more than 20 years old.

As with Dragon Quest IV and Dragon Quest VIII before it, the game has been optimised for smartphones. Which means you play it in portrait.

Happily this entry to the series is a little cheaper than the others. When Dragon Quest I hits the UK App Store later tonight it'll set you back £1.99 / $2.99.

    &#;
Hellrule is a mobile runner with both feet planted firmly in the horror genre. It's said to have taken some inspiration from the likes of Castlevania and Ghosts 'n Goblins for its nightmare aesthetic and motley crew of fearsome enemies.

Here, you're cast as a rather dapper gent with a weaponized umbrella that you can use to hack and slash your way through a series of handcrafted levels. The pacing here seems a little slower than most auto-runners, with Hellrule focusing more on combat and strategy.

The Nintendo Switch release date is coming up fast, and yet another game has announced that it'll be breaking onto the platform - Snake Pass.

Snake Pass is an upcoming action puzzler which implements unique physics as you play as Noodle the snake. This physical action puzzler lets you curl, climb, and slither your way across beautifully designed levels as you try to find and restore the Keystones that give Haven Tor its mythic power.

Though 15 levels doesn't sound like an awful lot to sink your teeth into, its gameplay is extremely intriguing, and its difficulty curve promises to be 'organic' - meaning that each level gradually increases in difficulty.

The team's blog post doesn't mention a date, but it does say that they're looking to release the game in Q1 of 2017. So, unless something awful happens, we should be able to get it near enough to the actual Switch release date.

    Why, he was a drunkard and perhaps worse. Are you going to set him loose again to roar and to devour?"Sago Mini Space Blocks Builder(Paid games to play for free )&#;

Let's get something out of the way first: Lost Socks: Naughty Brothers is an auto runner.

Just like the excellent Rayman: Jungle Run, you don't move your character around. Instead, you jump, shoot and generally bash your way through levels.

It doesn't mean that the game is an endless runner though, as Lost Socks features more than 30 levels and no sign of an endless mode yet.

It may have been three years in the making but the art style is not dated at all and boy does it look gorgeous:

    "I love it," said Anne. "I'm glad it's so full of old-fashioned flowers. Speaking of gardening, we want to get a man to dig up that little lot beyond the fir grove and set it out with strawberry plants for us. Gilbert is so busy he will never get time for it this fall. Do you know anyone we can get?"
