Devolver Digital has announced that Jay Tholen's partly unsettling, partly adorable "hugventure" game Dropsy will be heading to iOS and Android on September 10th.

It follows the titular clown as he ventures into a world he's never explored before to clear his name after losing his parents in a circus fire.

The world is completely open, allowing you to venture to its weirdest parts (and it gets darn weird) whenever you like.

As Dropsy can't talk to people you'll need to communicate with icons. You'll need to use this to solve puzzles as well as shoving items in Dropsy's massive clown pants.

 The Birdcage 2
Following up to my previous article on Overwatch's potential development for Switch, we've got good news for some and bad news for others.

It's not been ruled out, but for now Overwatch is definitely not being developed for the Switch for a good reason.

After being approached by The Express, Jeff Kaplan said that getting the game on the platform would be a challenge - especially to balance it with their current workload across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

"I think the problem is, we've really targeted our min spec in a way that we would have to revisit performance and how to get on that platform," said Kaplan. "And also, it's already challenging right now maintaining three platforms and patching simultaneously, which is something that we've finally been able to achieve."

Currently, working to fit the needs of both Microsoft and Sony is challenging for Blizzard, but throwing Nintendo's needs into the fray would then add another level of complexity needing to be balanced. We'd hate to see the currently platforms suffer as a result.

What do you guys think of it - could Overwatch work on the Switch? Let us know in the comments below.

Microids has released a freemium version of its old point-and-click adventure game Syberia - Part 1 on Android.

The game was released on Android last year and is still available for £4.99 / $6.99.

This freemium version simply gives you a part of the game for free to try out. It's a demo, really. If you want the full version after that, you can get it through a £4.99 / $6.99 IAP.

We weren't too impressed by Syberia - Part 1 in our review. It's not a bad game per se - we called it "an entertainingly enigmatic tale" -it's just an old one.

It suffers from being a bit clunky and creaky, basically.
Mini World Mod Apk is an alternate and modified variant of the original game available on the play store. We are responsible for the enhanced element addition in the modification, which allows users to experience the actual Gameplay with existing elements in the enhanced form and sort out a few of the common issues faced by the users. Here we offer the users an unlimited amount of points, gems, coins, diamonds, gold, and keys, which they can make endless use of and upgrade all the respective elements in the Gameplay. They can also purchase tools and equipment of varied needs from the store.

"Oh, no, no, NO, Marilla. He can't--nothing can ever do that. He has his own place, my dear, wee man-child. But little Joy has hers, and always will have it. If she had lived she would have been over a year old. She would have been toddling around on her tiny feet and lisping a few words. I can see her so plainly, Marilla. Oh, I know now that Captain Jim was right when he said God would manage better than that my baby would seem a stranger to me when I found her Beyond. I've learned THAT this past year. I've followed her development day by day and week by week--I always shall. I shall know just how she grows from year to year--and when I meet her again I'll know her--she won't be a stranger. Oh, Marilla, LOOK at his dear, darling toes! Isn't it strange they should be so perfect?"
Folks weren't too impressed with the NES Switch Online collection when it first launched, but to be fair to Nintendo, the service has been continually updated with new games ever since, and now its collection is growing even bigger.

Today, Western players can get their hands on Super Mario Bros. 2 and Kirby's Adventure as part of the Switch Online package. The former is the dark horse of the Super Mario Bros. series, being a reskin of an entirely different, not-at-all-Mario game. Kirby's Adventure, meanwhile, is the first game in the franchise for everyone's favourite pink ball of air.

But wait, there's more! As usual, the collection has also added a couple of bonuses. First up is an SP version of Blaster Master, which drops you off at the start of the last level of the game - perfect for those of you who don't want to bother actually playing it at any point.

New #NES games have been added to #NintendoSwitchOnline – Nintendo Entertainment System! Save the world of Subcon in #SuperMario Bros. 2, and use your enemies’ powers against them in #Kirby’s Adventure! pic.twitter.com/y85GwoXqpi— Nintendo of Europe (@NintendoEurope) February 13, 2019 And for some reason there's an additional SP version of Metroid added to the collection, alongside the regular game and an earlier SP edition. While the original SP version drops you outside of Ridley's boss battle, this time around you'll be just near the end of the game with a fully kitted-out Samus, allowing you to see the best ending with relative ease.

I say relative ease - you do need to actually finish the game first, and if you've not played Metroid before and don't know how the controls work, actually doing that is a bit of a struggle. Don't ask me how I know this. I just do, OK?

If you're a super fan who got their hands on the Famicom Switch Online collection through a Japanese account, you'll also get a Japan-only sumo wrestling game. Also Super Mario Bros. 2 is called Super Mario USA, which is all kinds of hilarious to me.

Go and update your NES Switch Online Collection now and your two games will pop up straight away. And don't forget you can move the games around as well! I learned this recently and it's completely changed my life. Well not completely, but it's certainly made it easier for me to get to the games I care about.

 Update on 04.09.2020 at 15:22
The version of World's End Club currently available on Apple Arcade appears to be the first part of a larger experience. This is based on a tweet from Kotaro Uchikoshi. The full version will launch on Nintendo Switch in Spring 2021.
Note: World's End Club has a cliff-hanger end like Avengers Infinity War. (The complete version will be released on Switch.) But it contains enough volume and high entertainment as one game. Total play time is probably about 10 hours. (depends on the individual tho.)— Kotaro Uchikoshi Eng (@Uchikoshi_Eng) September 4, 2020Original story on 04.09.2020 at 15:16

The latest release to hit Apple Arcade is publisher IzanagiGames' World's End Club, a strange action-adventure title from Zero Escape creator Kotaro Uchikoshi and Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka.

It follows the story of 12 oddball students on a class trip gone horribly awry. Following a bus accident, they've found themselves trapped in an abandoned theme park that also happens to be situated deep below the sea.
Definitive list of EVERY Apple Arcade game available, and what you need to know about them
To make matters worse, they aren't entirely alone down there, with a strange clown quickly forcing them into a game of life and death. It's a premise that should be familiar to anyone who's played Uchikoshi or Kodaka's earlier work.

"No--o--o, not exactly. And yet--I think she WAS one of them once, but has gone or got into exile," said Anne musingly. "She is certainly very different from the other women about here. You can't talk about eggs and butter to HER. To think I've been imagining her a second Mrs. Rachel Lynde! Have you ever seen Dick Moore, Gilbert?""Always liked Lombardies," said Captain Jim, waving a long arm at them. "They're the trees of princesses. They're out of fashion now. Folks complain that they die at the top and get ragged-looking. So they do--so they do, if you don't risk your neck every spring climbing up a light ladder to trim them out. I always did it for Miss Elizabeth, so her Lombardies never got out-at-elbows. She was especially fond of them. She liked their dignity and stand-offishness. THEY don't hobnob with every Tom, Dick and Harry. If it's maples for company, Mistress Blythe, it's Lombardies for society."

Although the Big G is doing its best to sound chipper about pulling its high-tech eyewear from the shelves, Google Glass is to be mothballed for the foreseeable future after today.

The controversial wearable device is being officially removed from sale, and the project removed from the roster at its famous R&D department.
A new vision
Google insists that Glass is not dead and buried, however. In its announcement, the internet giant promised that work would continue as the directionless wearable is gradually reinvented.

"We’re closing the Explorer Program so we can focus on what’s coming next," the statement reads. "[We’re] officially “graduating” from Google[x] to be our own team here at Google. We’re thrilled to be moving even more from concept to reality."

There's a distinct PR spin to the announcement, which is a little unlike Google and suggests that should Glass reappear - and we suspect it will, one day far from now - it won't be recognisable.
Glass bottom tech
It's a piece of tech that's become a cult icon in its own time, with so-called Glassholes courting controversy and commendation in equal amount for their inventive uses of the head-mounted gadget.

In many ways it's a shame to see it disappear into the obscurity that's always surrounded Glass's nebulous purpose, but it's been clear for some time that a device with an hour's battery life, a £1,000 price tag and a privacy law suit waiting to happen, was going to struggle. Especially with the wonders of commercial VR just around the corner.

On the plus side, you can see the eBay listings 20 years hence already, so don't throw your Glass away, early adopters. You've a future collector's item dangling from your specs right now.

"[email protected] Google Glass Explorer headset!!! (sold as seen)".
